The US court has documented the names of two former Twitter employees over spying charges for the Saudi Kingdom. Ahmad Abouammo and Ali Alzabarah accused of providing personal information of Twitter users to Saudi agents.
The information also included the details of famous critics of Saudi administration. The accusations were made public in San Francisco whereas a 3rd person Ahmed Almutairi from Saudi Arabia also accused of spying. Ahmad Abouammo has taken into custody by police as he appeared in the Seattle court. Mr. Abouammo also accused of providing wrong and falsified information to the FBI. He had left his job as Twitter’s media partnership manager 4 years ago. Meanwhile, an Ex. Twitter engineer, Ali Alzabarah charged for providing personal data of more than 6,000 Twitter users to a Saudi agent in 2015. He took an administrative leave and fled to Saudi Arabia along with his family.
The third person further worked as an arbitrator between Twitter employees and Saudi agents. Both Mr. Alzabarah and Mr. Almutairi are reportedly living in Saudi Arabia who paid the trio hundreds of thousands of dollars for spying.
