India is suffering from dense and heavy smog, but it doesn’t mean that the rest of the world would remain idle and unaffected from the menace of ozone depletion and global warming. Smog is a mixture of fog and dust particles including condensed toxic gas particles.
Smog is a mixture of fog and mist. It is one of the outcomes of environmental pollution and resulting climate change.
We are burning coal, gas and petroleum products at a much faster pace in an all important lust to expand our trades and exports. Nation-states are fighting a nail-biting contest in order to supercede others in economic expansion. Trade and trade wars are in action.
In the meanwhile carbon footprint in the above atmosphere is increasing with each coming day. Carbon is an element which combines with oxygen in the upper atmosphere to form carbondioxide which is a greenhouse gas causing depletion of ozone layer. Additionally, oxides of sulphur and nitrogen too are a big source of environmental pollution and global warming. We are living in a digital age but are unable to conserve our natural assets.
A time is soon going to come and has also shown serious signs of emergence that the temperatures of our earth will become intolerable. Rains will bring down more acids than ever. Natural calamities will grow in numbers, size, range and potential.
Humans and animal life won’t be able to cope with the UV radiations and with the consequences of global warming.
We as individuals must:
avoid use of plastic and plastic bags.
Throw garbage and house waste at disposal sites or burry in proper waste dumping sites.
Clinically adhere to the call of environmental conservation by switching to solar panels as a source of energy.
Otherwise we may not even have time to wait for space_X to get ready for proposed migration to Mars.
