Indian held Kashmir bleeds further as New Dehli has stripped aside Laddakh from the motherhood that is Kashmir. Indian opression in the region continues and hostilities are expected to aggravate in the hands of more than 1 million trained and heavily armed military troops in the disputed territory of Kashmir.
Kashmir is a beautiful valley blessed with all the gifts of nature. Unfortunately since the partition on Indian-subcontinent in 1947, which resulted in creation of two Independent States in India and Pakistan, succeeded by the withdrawal of British colonials from the region, the state is suffering heavily as both India and Pakistan claim the land in enterity. Both controls parts of Kashmir.
Kashmir is a disputed territory, Kashmiri people are given the right of self-determination under UN security council resolutions.
On August 5, Indian government revoked article 370, which usurped most of the rights of Kashmiri people as the state lost its identity in many respects. It lost the status of a dominion and came under more stringnet control of New Dehli.
The people of Kashmir would have resented the move as they were striving for a plebiscite under the directions of the resolutions of United Nations security council, and were pushed further aside and away by changing the status of princely state, Indian government imposed a three month long curfew, which is still in operation.
Indian held Kashmir is suffering from the brutalities in the hands of Indian forces. The Indian government wants to change the demographics of the Muslim majority region to probably a Hindu-majority zone to clinically wipe out any chances of accepting the rights of self-determination of Kashmiri people in future.
