Now the government of Ghana has announced that they will start auditing at the end of this month. It is especially for all the oil and gas companies in Ghana. According to the reports, this audit will be implemented on before the end of this year. It is seriously considered as a caution for corrupt Ghana business especially among oil and gas companies.
Recently, Dr. Mohamed Amin who is Deputy Energy Minister cleared the matter more. He says there will be an advanced type of audit for all the oil and gas companies in Ghana. So that there will be more chances that will arise to eliminate corruption from the whole country.
Dr. Amin Adam clearly said that this action is to weed out all the people who are sucking the blood of the country. In this way, the entire sector will be cleaned up and the economic conditions will be better. Moreover, he said this action will create more and more revenue. As well as stated that “Transparency is the key in this move and we are bent on seeing in through”
Additionally, the chairman of the Public Interests Accountability Committee (PIAC), Dr. Steve Manteaw cased. Basically, the case was about the Petroleum and Revenue Management Act. So, in that case, players will be sanctioned if they misuse the precious oil revenue of the country.
