Pyongyang has ordered the destruction of all hotels and building infrastructure, built by South Korea, at Mount Kumgang famous resort.

Leader Kim Jong-un revealed the reason behind the decision and said that the complex seems like makeshift tents in the disaster-stricken region. There was a time when the resort was taken as a sign of inter-Korean co-operation.
The Mount Kumgang resort lies in the eastern part of North Korea. South Korean companies constructed the edifice in the 1990s at one of the most beautiful mountains of the peninsula.
Earlier, thousands of South Korean tourists have had permission to visit the resort under strict security. However, the visits halted in 2008 after a North Korean guard shoots a southern female tourist to death.

Pyongyang also expelled the officials of South Korea and captured their assets in 2011. An official revealed that Mr. Kim described the structure situation shabby that doesn’t have a national character at all. Mr. Kim also ordered the removal of the old structure and construction of the modern one.
Mr. Kim notified it as misguidance to take the resort as a symbol of North-South cooperation as we won the Mount Kumgang at the cost of blood. He further continued that even a cliff and a tree on it represent our sovereignty and self-esteem.
