Egyptian archaeological experts have discovered twenty ancient wooden coffins from the city of Luxor.
Brightly coloured decorations are still apparent and visible which speaks volumes about the ancient expertise in handling and burrying the deceased.
Archaeological excavations led to the discovery of twenty coffins in Egypt
The coffins were uncovered alongside a place near River Nile. Theban Necropolis is the name of the place where the uncovering of well-preserved wooden coffins took place. The coffins existed in two layers. The local archeology department considers the discovery as a massive one.
More details shall be unveiled in a press conference taking place on Saturday.
Egypt is a historical place. Many a dynasties flourished, invaded and conquered the territory during medeival times. Excavations have always yielded something very special in terms of history, culture and have helped retrieve lost treasures associated with life of primitive people.
