Hunter Biden has broken his silence and defended his Ukraine-China business dealings amid White House and media criticism. The son of Ex. Vice President Joe Biden insisted that he had done nothing wrong while he was working at Ukrainian Gas Company and his father was appointed as Vice President.
Hunter Biden has had business ties in both Ukraine and China which triggered impeachment inquiry against the president. He strongly rejected the accusations of any impropriety and said he joined the board and worked honestly there. Mr. Biden also revealed that he didn’t discuss his business dealings with his father and also decided to resign as a board member of a Chinese company assuring that he will join any foreign-owned companies if his father chose as US president. He said he no regrets over his business dealings but he should understand its political liability.
President Donald Trump and his allies have accused Mr. Joe Biden made wrong use of his power to encourage the firing of the top prosecutor of Ukraine. The prosecutor was investigating the Burisma gas company where Hunter Biden was serving at that time. On basis of these accusations, Mr. Trump made the 25 July call to Ukrainian President that fuelled to impeachment investigation against him. The impeachment inquiry is trying to find evidence that either US president had withdrawn $400m (£327m) to push Mr. Zelensky to inquire Bidens. Mr. Trump criticized both Bidens with corruption charges but Hunter called them a ridiculous conspiracy idea.
