The head of Ghana Muslim Mission (GMM) recently praised officially to the President Nana Akufo Addo. The emphasis on to make a definite statement about the Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE). It is also available on current news in Ghana.
Recently, the National Chairman of (GMM)Ghana Muslim Mission is feeling gratified about the statement of president. He says it is good that Ghanaian president didn’t allow something as Comprehensive Sexuality Education. If it would be introduced in the environment so it can destroy many things. Especially, when it comes to the education system and moral values.
There were so many debates and mainstreams on the media platforms to convince all the people. It was basically, held to stop the act of Ghana Education Service (GES) to introduce Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE). Basically, the head of the Muslim community Ghana worried because this act is gonna be imposed into the education curriculum starting from age four.
The president’s statement clarified that after the statement of Minister of Education. It was that there is nothing as the Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE). “It said the President’s statement came as an addition to the statement by the Minister of Education, Mathew Opoku Prempeh and the GES, that there was nothing like CSE in the curriculum.”
“We thank Almighty Allah for listening to our prayers and we also thank the President for reassuring the citizenry allaying our fears”
These statements of the president also urged the Ghana Education System (GES) to put attention on it. So that they check out all the matter that is there any sexual content in the education system.
Moreover, Akufo Addo says “As stakeholders in Islamic Education in the country, we would not agree to any changes that will affect our Islamic principles on morality as well as the general cultural norms of our country that frown on certain sexuality inappropriate behaviors as well as immorality.”
