Kurds agrees on deal with Syria to repel Turkish violence

The Syrian government reached on a deal with Kurds and willing to help Kurdish forces to end Turkish violence in northern Syria. Syrian forces reached the Ain Issa and Tal Tamer area located near the Turkish border. Turkish forces entered northern Syria and started offensive to oust Kurdish forces last week after the US retreat its troops from the border area.

Massive bombardment reported in border areas controlled by Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces. Dozens of people including fighters and civilians killed during the fights. Washington is also working to withdraw its remaining soldiers from northern Syria. Turks attack and US retreat have triggered an international outcry as SDF has remained key allies in the Syrian war against the Islamic State group.

International powers have also expressed fears of a possible resurgence of the IS group citing instability in the region. Furthermore, Turkey wanted to make the border area within 32km a safe zone as it considers Kurds as terrorists.

President Tayyip Erdogan wanted to resettle 2 million Syrian refugees, which currently living in Turkey, within this safe zone. Kurdish-led administration revealed that it reached a deal regarding the army deployment along the border to resist Turkish violence.
