Government of Ghana is all set to take action against the poor services of the Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) as it has called upon the the telecommunications subscribers to report the poor nature of the services. The government has made the call through the Minister of Communications, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful at the Information Ministry on October 14, 2019.
The Minister of Communications talked exclusively about the issue through an address to the journalists. She said, “Government will also countenance no excuses for poor service quality and encourage all customers to report any issues of poor quality of service or substandard user experience to the regulator for remedial action.”
While talking about the Communication Service Tax (CST) issue, the Minister of Communications said the ministry is fairly cooperating with the operators to address the issue and expecting them to cooperate as well. She said, if subscribers are paying their taxes then they should get the best of the services. She winded up the address by saying that, “All unused voice and data bundles purchased by subscribers should not expire and must be rolled over with the next recharge.”
