Europe has strongly reacted on Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan warning of refugee surge to the bloc following EU’s criticism over Syria offensive. Meanwhile, President Donald Trump has offered to mediate between Ankara and Kurds over the matter.

Mr. Trump said that the US has three choices. Firstly, we can deploy thousands of troops in Syria to succeed militarily. Secondly, the US can hit hard the Turkish economy with sanctions and the last solution is to mediate between Turkey-Kurds deal and we want to go for the third choice. Earlier, the US president ordered the retreat of US troops from northern Syria on the Turkish President’s request. The act prompted huge condemnation of deserting US allies.
Meanwhile, Mr. Erdogan has warned Europe to stay away from criticizing Ankara over its military intervention in Syria. Otherwise, Turkey will flood Europe with 3.6 million Syrian refugees. EU has criticized Turk’s warning of refugee surge as blackmail and urged Turkey to understand grave concerns regarding the humanitarian crisis in the region. Russian President Vladimir Putin has warned that Turkey’s invasion can cause the ISIL group revival in the country.
A dozen civilians and several fighters from SDF have reportedly killed while thousands of people have left their homes. Turkish forces entered in the northern part of Syria on Wednesday after the US show them the green signal to start its cross-border assault by ordering US forces withdrawal from their way. Turkey is still defending its offensive as it wants to see the place a safe zone, free from militants, to abode the refugees back to their homes.
