Joseph Esso, the B forward of Black Stars, is of the belief that their team can win the match with Burkina Faso. This is a quarter final match to be held on Friday at the Stade Lat-Dior in Thies, Senegal.
After winning 8 times in the opening round held in this week, the team made it to the quarter finals.
Burkina Faso won over Mauritania on Monday by 4-3 scores in penalties. The original match ended with 1-1, so penalties were done. In the match with The Gambia, Esso scored the only goal and in this way they beat them.
Esso plays for Hearts of Oak and he is rather confident that they will beat Burkina Faso. This is a team that has given much tough time to Black Stars B team in the recent matches.
Burkina Faso kicked out of the 2018 African Nations Championships qualifiers held in 2017.This year, they won over Ghana in Kumasi with 1-0 during the first part of the final qualifiers for the African Nations Championships of 2020.
Esso says that he thinks that the people of Ghana were by their defeat from Burkina Faso freshly. But he says that the fans should not worry as their team will give its best in the next matches.
He urges the fans to pray for them and to carry on their support and the team will give the fans what they want to have in return. He makes sure that they will beat Burkina Faso today.
If Ghana succeeds, they will have a semi-final either with Cote d’Ivoire or Togo.
In 2017, Ghana won the WAFU Cup of Nations and this year, they are hoping to retain the title.
