President Donald Trump has appealed Beijing for Bidens inquiry at the time when the US president is already confronting an impeachment inquiry over forcing Ukraine to inquire about the business dealings of his rival Joe Biden.
Joe Biden and Donald Trump
It is not the first time when the US President asked a foreign country for investigation. Earlier, he urged Russia to track missing emails of Hillary Clinton which later denied by his campaign as a joke and in the second attempt, he requested Ukraine’s president for Joe Biden’s investigation. Now it is the third time when Mr. Trump came out and insisted on China’s involvement to do likewise.
Meanwhile, China will have to break its own law of none-interference into other country’s internal political affairs if it agrees to take any action on Mr. Trump’s request and start Bidens inquiry. According to Chinese analysts, our country stands to achieve a little by helping US president undermine Bidens though a trade war has soured both countries’ relations. Foreign minister Wang Yi insisted during last week’s proceedings of United Nations General Assembly that our country will never interfere in US affairs. He said that Americans have the ability to sort out the solution of their issues.
Meanwhile, Mr. Biden called Mr. Trump’s attitude of attacking someone’s integrity as a joke. Earlier, a phone call between US president and his Ukrainian counterpart has leaked out by an intelligence whistleblower. The revelation prompted the impeachment inquiry against Mr. Trump. However, Mr. Trump called the inquiry a coup to oust him from office.
