Plastic is one of the very disturbing factor as it has an immense impact on our environment. Global warming is a very serious issue. The temperatures of our earth is increasing and is becoming unpredictable.
The all important ozone layer, which is composed of three atoms of oxygen is depleting which is allowing ultraviolet radiations to strike our earth without any check and control.
The world is fast heading to an environmental catastrophe. Natural calamities have become more frequent and more deadly. Oceans are roaring, ground water resources are depleting, temperatures are soaring, land is becoming less fertile and food crisis is very much on in varying and ever changing climatic patterns.
It is beleived that amount of plastic in the oceans will outnumber fish by the year 2050, which is alarming.
Plastic waste is non-biodegradable and poses a serious threat to aquatic and human life
Plastic is non-biodegradable which means that they stay in the environment for longer periods of time ranging from 450-1000 years.
Burning plastic releases harmful gases including carbon dioxide into the atmosphere which is one of the biggest causes of global warming.
The environmental cost of plastic is too much. We have to diminish use of plastic bags at least to contribute positively towards the environment.
