The Ghana Employers Association (GEA) has recently warned the Ghanaians by highlighting the major threat to the businesses in Ghana. He lamented over the fact that on-growing illegal trade of goods throughout the country is a serious threat to the growth of the businesses.
While speaking exclusively about the matter, the President of GEA, Dan Acheampong explained the fact that spoiling the name of the brands by selling their products through illegal means, has been becoming a very common practice lately. People have started distrusting original brands just because of how their products are selling out. The President of GEA made an exclusive appearance last Wednesday at the 59th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the association, where he stated all the unfortunate facts.
While speaking at the General Meeting, Dan said, “As an Association, we respectfully request that Government provides the regulatory agencies with the requisite resources to strengthen their efforts in combating counterfeit and illicit trade in the country.”
