Hamza Bin Laden has globally considered as a potential successor of al-Qaeda founder and he had ordered many attacks on the United States and other nations. White House released a brief statement of President Trump about the reports of Hamza’s death.
Mr. Trump said that high-ranking al-Qaeda member and son of Osama Bin Laden has lost his life during US counter-terrorism operation in the region. His death has deprived al-Qaeda of important leadership and weakens the activities of the group in the Afghanistan/Pakistan region.
However, the statement didn’t mention the timeline of the operation. In February, the United States has offered to pay $1m for his detention.
