Sadio Mane scored two goals and lead Liverpool to a comprehensive victory by three goals to one, over Newcastle. Liverpool has maintained their 100 percent track record in the event, had scary moments during the 90 minutes of play, but eventually came up strong to beat their rivals.
Mane scored twice in the first half and proved fatal for the opponents. The Newcastle had an early lead but a double-strike into the nets by the Liverpool’s go-to man paved the way for their victory.
Muhammad Salah soon joined hands with Mane and scored the third goal for his side, Liverpool. Robert Firmino, didn’t lag far behind and assistant a couple of important moves which didn’t go in vain.
Liverpool has won 14 games in a row. The star-studded side has never been short of skills, individual brilliance and classical display of team effort.
Newcastle was able to pierce the field when their only shot on target gave them the initial lead. But they were not able to sustain the pressure and fell short of what they were up to. They eventually lost by a margin of two goals.
