Geoffrey Boycott and Andrew Strauss are two of the 14 English cricketers to have played 100 or more test matches. Both are presented with Knighthoods at former British Prime Minister Theresa May’s recognition honor’s list.
Geoffrey Boycott has scored over 8000 runs (8,114 to be precise); in 108 test matches he played for England from 1964 to 1982. Andrew Strauss lead England to two Ashes wins over Australia. Additionally, England became the number one test team during Andrew Strauss’s captaincy.

The 42-year old, Andrew Strauss scored over 7000 runs (7,037 runs) in 100 tests for England. Both deserved all the credit and their achievements demanded accolades.
Geoffrey Boycott has been a part of the commentary team for BBC, whereas Andrew Strauss has been serving as a director of England and Wales Cricket Board, after he retired from all forms of cricket in 2012.
Former England coach, Andy Flower, acknowledged the services of Andrew Strauss saying that he was tough and resilient, and was loved and respected by his fellow team men on and off the field.
Andrew Strauss has had a valuable contribution as a director in reshaping the dynamics of English cricket, which eventually lead to England winning the world cup, this year.
