Ghana’s largest sports stadium, Baba Yara Sports Stadium, is going to be closed in the 11 years’ history for the first time. It has not been renovated since 2008 and it is going to close for this purpose.
It is the largest sports stadium of a seating capacity of a maximum of 40,528. The closure of the largest stadium will be declared after the campaign of Asante Kotoko in the 2019/2020 CAF inter-club competition.
Baba Yara Sports Stadium is the famous sports stadium of Ghana where two Africa Cups of Nations have been hosted in 2000 and 2008 and also a FIFA World Cup match was held there. It’s big news that it is set to be closed for its renovation. Currently, the Asante Kotoko is playing there. But its closure will be announced soon.
