Today I’m all set to talk about one of the most-hyped Ghana Entertainment News about Ghanaian/Nollywood actress, Juliet Ibrahim. Yes! You guessed me right, it’s her recent revelation about how she was molested four times in her life.
There is no doubt in the fact that Juliet Ibrahim has taken over the daily highlights as of late. She makes to the headlines these days for all the right reasons. There was a time when she was completely out of the highlights, especially when she started doing films in the Nollywood and started a relationship with the Nigerian rapper, Iceberg Slim. However, right after breaking up with the rapper and coming back to Ghana and releasing her much-awaited book titled ‘A Toast to Life’ it seems like Ghana has got its old Juliet back.
Maybe not the old Juliet but a new and amazing Juliet who kicks her critics in the a**. I’m talking about her recent Instagram post about slamming the TV presenter who suggested her to go back to her ex-husband back. Juliet couldn’t take it anymore so she composed a long paragraph on Instagram and made the TV presenter regret about her terrible suggestion.
For now, According to the latest reports by Joy News Live, Julie Ibrahim has confessed about how she was molested and raped in her recent interview on a Nigerian radio station. She said, “With molestation… I think in my book, I probably had about four different recounts in the book and it started at about eight years old, yeah. I remember it that was my grand uncle… Then cousins.” She also told the host that she could fight her uncle but then it was her cousins who took up the molestation to the next. Then every limit was crossed when she was only 14 and a random stranger bribed her nanny in order to touch her.
Moreover, when the host asked the actress about the reaction of her parents after getting to know about the incidents, she said they never knew it until they read her book.
Juliet Ibrahim also mentioned some of the lines from her book. Like, “If only she had asked me why I left him. Then again, I did not ask his ex why she walked away. The gut feeling you have about someone, even when you cannot place your finger on what it is, is important. Do not ignore your intuition.”
“Lessons I learned? Over here, it is sisters over bros. Never hurt another woman for the love of a man. If he could hurt and abandon her, he will do the same, even worse to you.”
That’s how strong and amazing of Juliet Ibrahim is that she chose to give her personal example in order to raise awareness.
