Second mass shooting in a month hit Texas wherein five people reportedly lost their lives and several others also wounded. The first victim was a policeman who shot to death by a gunman after he tried to stop the gunman’s car in between Midland and Odessa cities. The gunman didn’t stop after killing the police and keep shooting several motorists and passers-by. Afterward, he took control of a postal truck and abandoned his car.

Police force eventually shot the gunman dead near the cinema complex. The reason behind this terrorist act of a mid-30s man is still not clear. Earlier in this month, a similar mass shooting incident in Texas and El Paso took 22 lives. Around 20 people including three police officers received injuries in the latest violence. Some people injured after receiving cuts from glass windows of car which shattered with bullets.
Medical Center Hospital in Odessa reported that seven of the injured are in critical condition. The shooting incident takes place at about 15:00 local time when two officers from the Department of Public Safety hit by a vehicle on Midland highway. The car driver opened fire on the officers after hitting them and start shooting the people on his way. Attorney General Ken Paxton revealed that this senseless act horrified him. Governor Greg Abbott urged citizens to remain united.
