National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, abbreviated as NOAA, has discarded President Donald Trump’s idea of tackling hurricanes by launching nuclear weapons. NOAA said that such an experiment can cause devastation.
President Donald Trump talked to explore the option before several security officials but NOAA suggested against the possibility. Eastern coast of the US is prone to hurricanes which usually bring serious damage. The hashtag #ThatsHowTheApocalyseStarted has become popular on Twitter amid US president reports.
According to a source, the US President questioned why we can’t target the storm’s eye with a bomb to prevent it from striking our land. In response, NOAA stated that nuclear weapons will not change the storm. However, the radioactive outcome can travel with the trade winds to have an influence on landmasses.
It says that to change the hurricane direction, explosives with a lot of energy are required. Though a bomb has mechanical energy but the releasing of half of the bomb energy in the center of the ocean is against international rules. NOAA also dismissed the possibility of hitting the weak tropical waves or depressions before they developed into hurricanes. It said that 5 out of 80 annual disturbances in Atlantic turned into a hurricane.
