International leaders congregated at the G7 summit in Biarritz, France and agreed to combat with major issues like Amazon fires and the continuous trade war between China and the US.
Leaders from Canada, France, Italy, Japan, Germany, the United Kingdom, and the United States attended the G7 summit. They said that they will provide financial assistance of $22m (£18m) to fight the fires. The countless fires have ravaged the huge swath of Amazon rainforest.
French President Emmanuel Macron hosted the G7 summit. He revealed funds will be available soon and the military also sent to the region to help the rescue efforts. G7 nations further vowed to reforest the lungs of the earth-Amazon.
Mr. Macron earlier called the Amazon rainforest fires international crisis, an issue that has sparked global outcry and rage. Critics of Brazil’s President, Jair Bolsonaro has accused him of being responsible for the fires.
Meanwhile, the US and China again wanted to come back on the negotiation table to resume trade talks after a series of tariffs war from both sides. President Donald Trump said that both countries will shortly continue trade talks as China called him to make a deal.
The latest development came after United States allies in the G7 summit forced US President to end the trade war that has badly affected the global economy.
