On the occasion of the Parliamentary Primaries of the National Democratic Congress, Mr. Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo, National Party Chairman, sent a message of support to all contestants.
In a statement, Mr. Ofosu Ampofo said that our party delegates, will go to the polls to elect our party’s parliamentary candidates for the general elections next year, this election is being held, not in all the 275 constituencies, because in some constituencies our applicants are selected unopposed and in some it is yet to be determined on which polling will be held.
It is in the interests of both our party and Ghana that people should vote for the candidates with complete certainty: people who can properly reflect their interests in Parliament, safeguard our party’s wealth and, more importantly, gain their corresponding seats so that the NDC can gain the bulk of seats in the next Parliament, he further said.
The statement is issued at the time when the time of the campaign is over and now candidates have to wait for the voters to determine their fate through votes.
The chairman also called to the security agencies to make sure the good security of the polling stations and maintain the law and order situation of the constituencies.
