Next to presenting the screen lock feature for iOS beta users, for the Android beta users, WhatsApp has now presented a ‘Fingerprint lock’ feature.
When the users will get this latest feature, they will then be able to open their WhatsApp by using their Fingerprint.
A thing to note here is that receiving of calls will not be affected by this latest development, meaning that even the WhatsApp is locked, you will still be able to answer calls.
You are supposed to update their WhatsApp version to the 2.19.221 Android beta version on Google Play Store in order to get this latest feature on your phone.
When you get this update, you will be able to enable this latest feature simply by going to the WhatsApp “Settings” and then by opening up the “Account” settings and after that clicking on the “Privacy” section and there is the “Fingerprint lock” option present.
The app is quite straightforward the time a users gets the option. WhatsApp would be able to communicate directly with your phone and you are going to be able to work your app with the saved biometric credentials, after that you will have to tell the app if you wish to save the settings on unlocking just the time you close it or you wish for it to wait for 30 seconds/1 minute.
You can also conceal your notification content from any intruders whenever it is locked.
