Pakistan has cut the trade with India and also ordered its ambassador to leave the country amid mounting tensions between countries over Kashmir issue. Pakistani government statement came after India’s announcement of stripping the disputed territory of special constitutional status.
Since the Indian government decision, Kashmir has been on communication blackout with no Phone networks and internet services. Indian troops have taken the hold of territory and are marching in the streets. Some protests and stone-throwing incidents also observed in the area and curfew has imposed. Indian forces have arrested the local leaders.
Kashmir has remained a bone of contention between India and Pakistan since independence. Both nuclear-armed nations have battled twice over Kashmir dispute but in vain. The fears of another war loom in February after Indian aerial attacks on the territory.
Both countries claimed the entirety of Kashmir though each of them has control only on parts of the disputed territory. Thousands of Kashmiris have lost their lives in the struggle of independence. World powers and UN are also want to solve the Kashmir issue with peace and US President Donald Trump also offered his services as an arbitrator between India and Pakistan to solve it but India rejected it.
