President Donald Trump has expressed his desire that China should be a part of a new nuclear pact it if ever signed with Russia as it would be exciting to see both countries a part of the pact.
He made these remarks after the United States officially left the INF nuclear treaty of Cold War-era with Russia. The pact prohibited both countries to stay away from using missiles within range of 500-5,500 km. The US withdrawal from the pact heightened the fears of a new weapons race.
The US attributed its act with Russian violation of the pact by making cruise missile which Moscow discarded. While talking about the INF treaty demise, US president said that Washington is counseling with Moscow for a new nuclear pact and we definitely want to include China at some stage. Mr. Trump further called such pact a great thing and said he believed that treaty will occur.
Meanwhile, Russian foreign ministry accused the US for the treaty’s demise and for violating pact by sending MK-41 launchers. It also blamed Washington for rising tensions in the world.
