Ineligibility of opposition candidates in local elections triggered the illegal Moscow protests which further caused the arrest of more than 600 people.
The demonstrator congregated in the Moscow, Russia to show their anger about the disqualification of opposition aspirant from polls by authorities. Police also held the opposition leader, Lyubov Sobol before her arrival at a gathering of 1,500 protesters. Police forces also make use of their batons against activists during detention.
The arrests toll rises from few dozens to hundreds with time. The officers have threatened people earlier to stay away from protests but protests didn’t bother. Protesters also accused police of mistreatment during arrests.
