Maxim Dadashev died shortly after he sustained severe injuries in a fight with Subriel Matias. Dadashev was 28. He was admitted to the hospital following the crackdown by his counterpart, but he breath his last.
Dadashev was a fierce fighter in himself as he did not lose even one of his last 13 fights. This one against Matias proved fatal. He was in a state of partial unconsciousness, he could not move freely after the end of 11th round of IBF light-welterweight fight. He underwent a surgery straightaway but in the losing course. His brain got badly affected and that was it for the champion fighter.

The Russian federation was deeply grieved over the sad demise of Maxim Dadashev, and paid deep condolences on their part.
The trainer McGirt had to intervene to stop the fight, at the end of 11th round, after reading out the situation as Dadashev was hoaxed by a stream of effective and convincing punches by Subriel Matias.
Dadashev was not ready to give up, said McGirt, I had to throw the towel inside the ring to stop the play. The 28 year old found it difficult to walk, was admitted to hospital. The brain had too many bruises so even the surgerory did not prove effective and he breath his last.
Many of the boxing federations, including the Irish federation, paid a tribute to Dadashev. The loss is a sad one and would be remembered for long in the boxing arena as a very traumatic incident.
