Social media is a 21st-century tech revolution. People at large, irrespective of age group and gender differences, are closely associated with this online digital arena.
Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Whatsapp, etc have changed the dynamics of communication. The physical distances have become obsolete and null and void courtesy of social media applications.
social media and social isolation
Online interactions with peers in a hybrid mode without having know how about the real attributes of the counterparts, is resulting in mental distress. Bullying, cheating, and fooling have become a common perspective, particularly among social media youth. False identities are used to exploit other sentiments.
The deceased eventually is preoccupied with feelings of inferiority complex which leads to chronic mental disorders such as anxieties, phobias, and social isolation and even suicides
Social media is closely associated with social isolation. Negative approaches and criminal mindsets are being used to dodge, cheat and ridicule peoples sentiments which are resulting in disasters.
Parents need to be monitoring the ‘online moves’ of their children. A chain reaction follows as one ridiculed today with adopting and follow similar negative and fraudulent approaches to play with the emotions of the peers.
The owners of most sensational tech revolutions, applications, and products were too circumspect and cautious of the use of such tools by their children. And they read the situation very well. The glides and glitters of mass media would have definitely attracted the masses, and so they did. That is why the tech-giants like Gates, Jobs, and Zuckerberg didn’t want their children to be a part of the socialized world right from the word go.
