Bernard Koku Avle has conveyed his worries about the security of reporters in covering 2020 elections amid recent attacks on journalist community in the country.

He is the host of a show on Citi FM and an award-winning journalist. His statement follows matter of two journalists of ModernGhana and assault on reporters of Citi Fm/Citi TV from NIA members.
The move widely condemned by Media Foundation for West Africa. Ghana Journalists Association and many more also criticized the attacks on journalist community. They also called it an attack on freedom of the press. MFWA further revealed that it received 31 cases of abuses against reporters and media houses.
Bernard Avle expresses deep regrets on how the government is treating the torture of ModernGhana journalists and recent attacks on reporters. He said with disappointment that how he will send ‘people’s children’ for the coverage of next year’s elections.
