MTN Ghana has disbursed the amount of $13 million on Corporate Social Initiatives (CSI) and performed 145 projects related to education, health, and other priority areas. Corporate Services Executive of Mobile Telecommunication Network, Mr. Samuel Koranteng revealed about the company investments at Editors Forum.
MTN Ghana Foundation has completed 52 projects in the health sector like in building of maternity blocks, surgeries, wards, and others. In the education sector, the foundation disbursed the money on libraries, scholarship schemes, ICT and many other initiatives. There were ten projects, executed under the economic empowerment. Besides these sectors, some other community programs like blood donation exercise also completed by the foundation.
Volta Region also took part in Corporate Social Initiatives like in building of Akatsi Basic School’s three-unit block, Tsito SHS’s library construction, Save-A-Life campaign, and some others. Mr. Samuel Koranteng further added that MTN Ghana has taken all these initiatives for brightening lives of people. Commercial Manager of MTN Volta, Mr. Raymond Gibson also detailed about new MTN products KaiOs and TurboNet.
