The International Atomic Energy Agency has confirmed that Tehran has broken the limit of its stockpile of enriched uranium. The limit was set under the 2015 nuclear deal so that Iran could not use enriched uranium in the production of nuclear weapons.
IAEA said that its investigators have found out that 300kg cap has been breached. Tehran has breached the limit in retaliation of US sanctions. Earlier, European nations have threatened Iran to be ready for outcomes in case of violation of the nuclear deal. Iran limited its nuclear activities after 2015 deal on condition of the lifting of sanctions.
Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif also confirmed the move by saying that they have clarified about the action so they did accordingly. An IAEA official told a media source that IAEA Director General revealed that Tehran has breached 300kg of UF6 (uranium hexafluoride).
Meanwhile, the Iranian ministry has further given an ultimatum of 10 days to European powers. It asked them to sort out the solution of saving the Iranian economy from US Sanctions. Otherwise, Iran will suspend more commitments of the nuclear deal.
