Australia beats Bangladesh by 48 runs at Nottingham, yesterday. Australia won the toss and decided to bat. The conditions were near ideal for batting. And Australia made the most of the conditions to pile up a mammoth total of 381.
David Warner scored 166 runs which is the highest individual score in the event so far. Finch contributed by scoring a half-century. Warner and Finch were involved in a 121 run opening partnership to the lay the foundation of a huge score. The middle order did follow suit and carried on with the onslaught to reach a target which always looked beyond the reach of Bangladesh.

Bangladesh lost early wicket as Souyma got run out. Shakib Ul Hassan, the leading all-rounder cricketer in ODI’s scored 41 runs before he perished. And things began to look a lot more difficult for the Bangladeshi tigers.
Mushfiq Ur Rahim scored a century and Mehmood Ul Allah score a half-century but that was never going to be enough. The required run rate was always creeping up.
Bangladesh did put up a fight, but they were in the game to chase down 381, taking into consideration the variety and experience of Australian bowlers. All in all, spectators got a chance to enjoy some blistering sixes hit by Warner, Finch, Maxwell, and Mushfiq.
Australia is leading the points table with 10 points to their name. New Zealand is second to Australia. England and India are the other two sides in the top four.
