For AFCON 2019, the list of referees including 56 officials has been declared by CAF. The list consists of 26 referees and 30 assistant referees for AFCON 2019 which is going to start on 21 June.
According to the announcement made by CAF, three referees namely Sadok Selmi, Youssef Essrayri, and Guirat Haythem are from Tunisia, two referees namely Redouane Jiyed and Noureddine EI Jaafari from Morocco and two from Senegal includes Maquette Ndiaye and Issa SY.
Two referees are also from the host nation Egypt namely Tunisia and Ibrahim Nour EI Din.
The 24 nation tournament that would be hosted in four cities at six different places would have a referee each from Algeria, Angola, Botswana, Burundi, Cameroon, Ethiopia, Gambia, Kenya, Madagascar, Mali, RD Congo, Rwanda, Seychelles, Zambia, South Africa, Mauritania, and Mauritius.
Three assistant referees have been selected from host nation Egypt followed by Algeria, Cameroon, Morocco, Sudan, and Tunisia. While two each as Angola, Burkina Faso, Chad, Comoros, Ethiopia, Guinea, Kenya, Libya, Lesotho, Madagascar, Mozambique, Niger, RD Congo, Senegal, South Africa, Uganda all have a representative each.
