Nigeria’s Super Eagles, the three times African Champion and the other 23 squads seeking the 32nd African Nations Cup in Egypt will share the US $ 14.2 million.
The African Football Confederation affirmed in April 2019 that the main eight groups in the 2019 African Cup of Nations would get a sum of $ 14.2 million as a prize.
The team that will qualify for the AFCON quarterfinals, will be receiving $800,000. Because of the extension of the configuration from 16 to 24 teams, the challenge would experience a second cycle, a quarter-last, and an elimination round before the two best groups hinder the cylinders at the most elevated cost of $ 4.5 million.
The semifinalists who qualify in the play-off in the third spot will share $4 million, each gets $ 2 million. The champs of the finals will get $ 4.5 million, while the runner up will get $ 2.5 million.
