President Nana Akufo-Addo has instructed the administration of the central bank to ensure the availability of a sound financial sector by implementing the strict adherence of laws. President Akufo-Addo made these known while addressing to SWIFT African Regional Conference continued in Ghana’s capital.

The SWIFT Conference started with President Akuffo Addo’s keynote. He explained different steps taken by the government to improve the banking sector. Ghana’s financial sector should be compatible with international standards. African continent should take measures to maintain itself to take advantage of the global digital run.
SWIFT is a worldwide and chief provider of financial assistance serving in more than 200 countries. SWIFT CEO, Alain Raes expressed his desire to create a digitized period in the African continent. BoG governor Dr. Ernest Addison urged on the need to formalize his country economy through digitization.
More than 500 experts from 45 countries congregated to attend 2019 conference which occurred in Accra under the theme of ‘Enabling the digital economy’. The participants also discussed the challenges to shape their continent in the digital space.
