Namibian football team striker, Katupose, said that the Namibian team has all the guts and skills to come up with surprises in ACON 2019. He further added that the brave warriors of Namibia can bring glories and honors for their country in the upcoming AFCON.
Katupose himself is not a part of the squad but he has not been short of appraisers for his fellow countrymen. He was confident of Namibian success under the guidance of the coach, Minneti. He said Minnetti is a capable person and the brave warriors are intended to reach new heights under Ricardo Minnetti.
Katupose has had a brief but successful tenure with the national Namibian team so far. His sole goal against Ethiopia helped the Warriors qualify for the AFCON 2008. He scored two goals against Comoros last year to Namibia into the finals of African Nations Cup (CHAN) in 2018.
Namibia is placed in group D along with Ivory Coast, Morocco, and South Africa. Namibia will have to work their heart out in order to make things count. It is an uphill task for Namibia but not virtually impossible. A strong team effort would definitely make a difference. And this is what all the Namibian fans would long far. Namibian needs not to worry about the strength and rankings of their opponents.
Egyptian goalkeeper holds the record of the eldest player to feature in AFCON. Essam el Hadary, was 44 years and 21 days old when he played in the 2017 final against Cameroon in Gabon.
