Indian openers made a rock solid start and score runs with ease. K. Rahul scored 67 before he lost his wicket to Wahab Riaz. Rohit Sharma, the Indian vice captain, went on to make a clinical century. He scored 140 runs. Indian captain Virat Kohli joined the party and scored a half century.
Pakistan pulled back and showed fighting spirit in the depth overs to restrict India to 336.
