US President has called London Mayor Sadiq Khan a ‘national disgrace’ and strongly accused him of five violent attacks in London.
Donald Trump made these harsh remarks after five attacks in a day left three people killed and three more injured. Jeremy Corbyn has expressed grief that how Mr. Trump used the tragedy to accuse the London mayor. More police force has deployed on the capital amid the fear of more attacks. Mr. Trump also called Mr. Khan a disaster and urged on the need for a new mayor for London in a tweet.
A spokesperson from the mayor office expressed grief to the victims’ families on behalf of the mayor. He said that Mr. Khan didn’t want to waste his time in replying of such sorts of accusations as he has to focus on supporting communities and emergency services.
Later, Mr. Khan tweeted that Londoners’ safety is my highest priority. The total number of killings in this year now touches to 56 figure. 2018 was considered the worst year in a decade on record of murders.
US President and Sadiq Khan have a longtime feud. Mr. Trump earlier labeled him a ‘stone cold loser’ during his three-day visit to the United Kingdom. He made this after London mayor discouraged the rolling out of red carpet on US President tour.
