US-Iran relations have already deteriorated on Gulf Situation and now a recent twin tankers attack has further added in the list of blames against Iran.
Two more oil tankers hit in the Gulf of Oman and United States has again blamed Iran’s Special Forces for conducting the attack. This time, the United States has provided video proof of its accusation against Iran. The video recording shows that forces are taking away unexploded mine from a damaged tanker. Meanwhile, Iran has dismissed United States allegations of backing the Gulf attack.
A month ago, four oil tankers become the target of attack and destroyed in the coast near UAE. At that time, the US put the entire blame of the incident on Iran without evidence but Iran kept denying those accusations.
Since US President Donald Trump hold the office in 2017, US-Iran relations started getting worse day-by-day. Mr. Trump has imposed sanctions on Iran besides abandoning the nuclear deal. While answering the question that ‘how to stop Iran, he replied that ‘we will see’. World Oil prices also sharply increased 4% after recent tanker attack in the Gulf.
According to the United States naval forces, two tankers contacted them at 07:00 about the attack and blasts. They found the Iranian forces there for rescue efforts but also caught them removing the unexploded mine from an oil tanker. The president of the ship’s operator reported that crew has claimed that they see a flying object which caused an explosion on the tanker.
