Ghanaian legendary rapper, Obrafour has finally talked about one of the major issues in the Ghana music industry that is growing so fast but nobody talks about it. He appeared in an exclusive interview last Saturday, where he highlighted the issue of lyrical beef of the present day in detail.
He said he misses his time where the artists used to start the lyrical beef just for making the quality content. Now the lyrical beef are really nasty as they are made with the core purpose to hit the opponent. He said, “Reggie Rockstone in one of his songs says he was born with a microphone in his hands…the jab comes as no one is born with a microphone in their hands. it was just beautiful.”
Obrafour also gave a quality example that he and Lord Kenya once started a lyrical beef on purpose just to increase the record sales. They didn’t have any bad blood between them, the beef was just an excuse. He lamented the fact that it’s totally opposite now.
