Plastic manufacturing companies will be responsible to manage their plastic waste. At present, Canada is only recycling 10% plastic waste.
A month ago, 180 nations agreed to work on reducing plastic from world oceans to provide a safe habitat for marine life. Canada can include plastic bags, straws, and plates on single-use banned plastic products. The country produces 3m tonnes of plastic annually.
