The opposition in the Parliament has said that the present government has increased the National Debt and which is causing the burden of taxes on the public.
The opposition said that the government has failed to work for the development of the people of Ghana and failed to develop infrastructure in the state.
The minority spokesperson in the parliament Cassiel Ato has said that government promised to not take loans but they are borrowing the loans rapidly which the public will have to pay back.
He also said that Aukofo Adou alone has increased about GH¢ 80 billion of the national debt in the past two years.
He also said that Ghana debt is at the highest point in the past four years and Ghana is one of the top debt taking countries and it is on the greatest risk of collapsing and getting bankrupt.
He was seriously concerned about the borrowing of these debts and want accountability and justification about taking massive debts from the government.
