National Security Advisor of the United States, John Bolton has accused Iranian naval mines for damaging the oil tanker on the eastern coast of UAE. However, he didn’t provide any proof of his accusation and Iran dismissed it by saying it ‘laughable’.
Earlier this month, four oil tankers damaged after getting holes in the hulls in the Gulf of Oman. The incident has further backed in escalating the US-Iran row. Vice Admiral of United States, Michael Gilday also claimed earlier this week that he believed on Iranian leadership involvement in backing the attack.
Now, Mr. Bolton has cited Michael Gilday words during a tour of UAE and said Iran’s naval mines had conducted the attack. Meanwhile, the foreign ministry of Iran denied Mr. Bolton’s allegations and a spokesman from ministry Abbas Mousavi claimed to handle the Bolton plots with strategic patience.
Earlier, four oil tankers destroyed in ‘sabotage attack’ on 12 May within United Arab Emirates territory. No deaths were reported but Saudi Arabia claimed two ships have badly destroyed.
