Back in 2013, if you remember properly, OPPO has presented the N1. The most interesting and worth-remembering feature of the phone was it offered a rotating camera for the first time. While many of the smartphone manufacturers started to adopt this approach, but it did not manage to become mainstream. At this time, all-screen smartphones are in the market, ASUS is trying to present a somewhat similar thing in its latest Zenfone 6 but it is not absolutely same.
A freshly disclosed application suggests that OPPO may be working on the concept of rotating camera by this time. The image displayed below suggests that OPPO’s approach of this time is quite different from the initial one as an additional elevation is seemed to be added before the rotation.
By this time, it is know whether OPPO is making single-camera setups or the ones having dual-cameras, or if they will added more cameras on both sides of the rotating camera. Today’s main focus of the smartphone manufacturers is to get rid of the decades old bezel, punch hole and notch, offering many different ways to put these features behind the display in order to hide these things still keeping them functional.
