The sewer musicians fight reported from the 20th edition of Vodafone Ghana Music Awards. The popular Reggae/Dancehall artiste, Stonebwoy threatens Shatta Wale on stage with a loaded gun. Stonebwoy waves the gun in the air while receiving the award for ‘Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the Year Award.’
The drama started as bodyguards of both musicians run towards the stage. The authority stated that musician, Stonebwoy was afraid that something bad might happen so, he quickly pulled his gun out. The organizers of the award show quickly responded and sprayed paper to move the mob and to rescue the star. The musicians were rapidly rushed out of the stage.
The organizers temporarily stopped the show but some part of the audience quickly moved out as they feel threatened. The audience and fans of the show really seemed disappointed over such action. However, the musician Stonebwoy for the 5th time won the award in the classification of ‘Reggae Dancehall Artiste of the Year.’ Presently he turned into the incredible hero of his category.
Prof. Kofi Abraham, Rev. Mrs. Mary Ghansah and Obuoba J.A. Adofo got the “Lifetime Achievement Award.” ‘My Level’ and ‘Gringo’ by Shatta Wale were announced as Dancehall Tracks of the Year and Highlife Song of the Year and the Reggae.
Musicians fight, nowadays becoming top trend. Even now they promote their music through beef.
