South Korean military has revealed that North Korea has conducted the test of two more short-range missiles to pressurize Washington to pursue for nuclear deadlock.
Pyongyang selected the city of Kusong for missiles tests and they were fired in eastward direction at 16:30 local time. Both missiles moved upward at a 50km altitude and covered the distance of 420km and 270km. North Korean leader, Kim Jong-un also visited the missile launch site last week. He also observed the military displays and drills at the site.
Nowadays, the top US official has visited South Korea in order to discuss the solution of nuclear deadlock to resume talks. According to analysts, Pyongyang is launching a missile test to put pressure on the United States for further talks.
Earlier, February summit in Hanoi yield no positive results wherein the US stressed North to end its nuclear program. In response, Kim Jong-un demanded sanctions relief which the US didn’t accept and asked for complete denuclearization before relief. Now, the latest missiles tests are second tests of its kind in under a week.
