Iran and US relations are getting worse day-by-day and now Iran has threatened to restart the production of uranium and also withdrew from a part of the international nuclear deal.
Earlier, the US left the deal a year ago and now, Tehran has informed Germany, Russia, France, China, and the UK about quitting the deal. Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani has informed that he has had a stock of enriched uranium. He also said to start selling these stocks to foreign countries within 60 days if its demand fulfilled.
Iran joined the international nuclear deal with the aim to get some relief in sanctions on condition of limiting its nuclear activities. These sanctions have badly destroyed Iran’s economy and also cause record inflation in the country.
While responding about Iran’s decision, French Defense Minister Florence Parly expressed that it will result in more sanctions. Florence Parly said that we are striving hard to maintain the deal. Meanwhile, China and Russia have accused the Washington government of the worsening condition. With the deal, Iran has to sell all its extra enriched uranium to other countries to ensure that it is not making nuclear weapons. Now latest move came after Mike Pompeo’s surprise visit to Iraq and the US sent its warship to Gulf.
Mr. Rouhani has withdrawn from that part of the deal which bound the country to sell its excess surplus enriched uranium. He has given the 60 days deadline to Russia and China after which Tehran will start advanced enrichment of uranium.
