The Ghana Police Service is on a search for three people accepted to be Nigerians and occupants of H/N/11/B, NTHC Bequests, Vivian Farms, Lashibi in Accra who seized the Lebanese Counselor General to Ghana.
The 61-year-old Lebanese Consular General and Head of Mission of Estonia to Ghana, Hon Nabil Makram Basbous was on Thursday grabbed while taking a morning walk. The injured individual it is assembled lives at Labone close Wangara and that around 10 minutes into the walk, a white Hyundai Elantra private vehicle with Enrollment GE 8922 – 17 pulled up in front of him.
As indicated by him, one of the inhabitants turned out, pulled a gun on him and requested him to enter the vehicle or hazard being shot in the event that he opposes yet because of a paranoid fear of his life, he obliged, entered and was headed out with the criminals pointing a gun and a hatchet at him.
He couldn’t see his way till they got to the area and was kept in the room and held the prisoner for the installment of payment before he could be discharged.
Luckily for him, the SWAT Unit of the Accra Regional Police Command got insight that a few Nigerians dwelling in H/N/11/B, NTHC Homes, Vivian Farms, Lashibi, were suspicious characters who remain home throughout the day yet go out just during the evening.
Police followed up on the knowledge and found the house and endeavors by police to go into the house was met with obstruction from the tenants.
In the process each of the 3 tenants scaled over a fence divider at the back and got away however whiles police were still at the scene, the abducted unfortunate casualty rose up out of one of the rooms he had been held prisoner and portrayed his difficulty.
